20,000 copies in print. Millions of wet noodle warriors!

A basic and fun arena battle game that stresses humor and fast play. Tournament after tournament, your warriors face each other quickly. You'll start to care about your characters because the system allows you to customize them as much as you'd like without complicating the game-play. Your team -- or part of your team! -- may make it to the top with the right combination of luck, point allocation and creative thinking.

"My question is for Alexander. I've played your game Arena Warriors since it was first out in the '80s. I play up the role-playing side of it, really making it more than just a combat game. As long as I stay within the rules for creating weapons and assigning hit points I don't see any prob making my major weapon a wet noodle or a feather boa. I like to make the battles humorous this way but when I play with certain friends they say I'm ridiculing of the "vision of the great game." But I love the game! Settle this for us, okay? Can I fight with a fruit roll-up sling and black olive projectiles or what?" -Marti O., a Gamer from Seattle, Washington

Alexander Gekko answers: "Wet noodle warriors unite! Actually, Marti, the Arena Warriors edition that was released in 2002 devoted an entire chapter on how to use humor when creating weapons, armor, etc. to bring more role-playing aspects to the game. This chapter has remained in every edition released hereafter. You'll get a free, autographed copy for sticking by your guns -- I mean noodles -- and using your brain not just your brawn to play. By the way, Gille and I never set out to make a "great game" and it was pretty neat to read that your otherwise tightly-wound friends consider Arena Warriors "great." Gille and I just wanted a fast, tiered battle game where we could use our own weapons and not have to pick from some ridiculously boring list of sword varieties (short, long, very long, single-edge, double-edge, dull-edge). Keep playing!"
