Several years ago, Windstorm Creative's Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer DiMarco, was on a panel at a science fiction convention. She was seated next to a VIP from one of the large, corporate publishing houses. Half way through the hour-long panel, the gentleman announced, "After all, where would authors be without publishers? No where." Before anyone could respond, Jennifer snapped, "Without authors we don't need publishers!"

So if publishers need authors, what do authors need? Fans. Not intrusive paparazzi, but individuals who truly value and appreciate an author's work. More than just casual readers, fans are dedicated and focused; sometimes they live in an author's world as fully as the author does. And when someone inhabits a world so fully, chances are they can also write in it.

Fandom Press is a fusion of this trinity: Publisher, Author and Fan. Our is driven by this creative tri-force. An "Origin Author" will create a universe and publish novels set in it. The "Origin Author" will also write a sourcebook that outlines the rules of the universe and invite fans, "Votary Authors," to join in and write in the universe, too. Soon, a vast and varied community of dedicated, passionate individuals are all contributing novels, short stories and more to a complex and fully realized universe. Everyone benefits.
