Blue Works: Chapter Books and Novels

Blue Works' fiction captivates and transports; We do not publish pulp or formula fiction. We're very careful not to publish heavy-handed or soapbox books. Our authors respect their pre-teen and teen readers; These readers are intelligent, inquisitive and destined to be the rule-makers, cure-finders and risk-takers of our near-future.

Blue Works was the first division of Windstorm Creative to become involved in the Blue Card ProjectTM designed by staff member Grace Garcia when she was thirteen years old. This incredible project allows us to prove to our readers that we do things differently. Simply send us the receipt from the bookstore or website where you purchased one of our books, with our book circled on your receipt, and you'll receive a free Blue CardTM. This archival-quality, luminescent, deep blue card is personally autographed by the author. The Blue Card ProjectTM shows that real people, not mass-production machines, are behind every effort at Blue Works.

Ms. Garcia is also the designer of our Rating BlocksTM --a part-serious, part-humorous rating system that appears on the back cover of all of our editions. Rating BlocksTM feature the appropriate age reader for a book and give a handful of glimpses into the content those readers will find. Parents and teachers appreciate Rating BlocksTM for the quick-and-easy age range, and young adult readers love the in-jokes and insights to the content.

Don't be fooled. Because all of our books are created with the strictest of environmental protections in mind, we don't print our books on newsprint stock, and we don't run massive 100,000-unit print runs, our books do cost more. And though we know our readers support our efforts, we also understand that a few dollars can add up. That's why, in addition to Blue CardsTM and Rating BlocksTM , we added Bonus Features.
